Paul Gharzouzi is an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He earned his PhD and MS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2025 and 2018, respectively. He received his BE degree in Civil Engineering from AUB in 2015. His research focuses on sustainability and resilience assessment of infrastructure systems, climate risk mitigation, and disaster preparedness of vulnerable communities.
